LiteSwitch X sigue la tradición de LiteSwitch como una solución simple para gestionar aplicaciones abiertas usando el teclado. Al igual que su predecesor, que seguirá estando disponible, LiteSwitch X tiene un estilo limpio, simple y funcional que se ha convertido en la marca registrada de Proteron. Presenta una ventana transparente, redimensionable y acuosa que se invoca mediante una combinación de teclas configurable (el predeterminado es Apple-Tab). Desde la ventana emergente, el usuario puede cambiar a cualquier aplicación, ocultar, salir o forzar la salida de cualquier aplicación o arrastrar y soltar archivos sobre cualquier aplicación. Los usuarios de Windows que migran a Mac pueden sentirse más en casa al tener de vuelta la funcionalidad de Alt-tab, disfrutándola en todo su esplendor de Mac OS X.

- Mejora del rendimiento al procesar algunos tipos de aplicaciones en segundo plano, una regresión introducida hace una década y empeorada por todas las nuevas aplicaciones en segundo plano en sandbox en Mavericks y Yosemite. Si experimentaste falta de respuesta con LiteSwitch al iniciar, o después de reiniciar Safari con muchas ventanas/pestañas abiertas, entonces esta fue probablemente la causa.

Sad to see this does not work in Catalina after enjoying LiteSwitchX from Snow Leopard to High Sierra. Seems can't request the necessary security permissions and they can't be added manually.
System Profiler reports this as 64-bit, despite the dev saying he wouldn't release a 64-bit version. Perhaps an error in there plist file? Whatever the case, when installed in ~Library/Preference Panes the PrefPane opens but it doesn't activate. When installed for all users it seems to throw up an error. Thanks over a decade of use though!

Hi Ammon,
Is there any chance you would find some time to port this app to 64bit or to be compatible with the M1 chip from Apple?
I have been using it for so long and it is annoying not having the features that this tool offers.
I know it is hard keeping small apps like this alive as there is very little reward, but here is me hoping. I would pay $5 to $10 bucks for having this feature back.

Oh no! Looks like LS doesn't work with Mojave. Ammon -- I hope you are listening and will be so gracious as to update the app. I've been a user for as long as I can remember and find if hard to live without.

I have loved this app, but for various reasons I have to let it go. The one feature I am trying to replace is the "switching sends re-open event" so if there are no windows open for that app, it opens one. I can get the same effect if I hold option before letting go of cmd.. Anyone know of a script or terminal command that makes that the default behavior so I don't have to hold option every time I cmd-tab.

Works perfectly now (v2.8.3) in Sierra (X.12.1). Much better than Apple's CMD-TAB (next app) and CMD-Shift-TAB (prev app) because LiteSwitch can switch using ALT-TAB (next) and ALT-Shift (prev) which is much more comfortable and easy-to-use. I dunno why Apple didn't do it just like that.
